Invited to the Salzburg Festival in 2006, then to Vienna and the Royal Opera House in London in 2010, he very quickly became a virtuoso of the Lied and has remained so ever since with his long-term collaborator, pianist Gerold Huber. In Geneva, his recital is devoted in its entirety to Robert Schumann, one of his favourite composers.
